Electronic Hardware Technology Park (EHTP) Scheme

The Electronic Hardware Technology Park (EHTP) Scheme is being modified to enable the sector to face the zero duty regime under the Information Technology Agreement (ITA).

The units shall be entitled to following facilities:

• As per the Foriegn Trade Policy, 2002-2007, EOU/EHTP/STP Unit shall be a net foreign exchange earner. Net Foreign Exchange (NFE) earning shall be calculated cumulatively for a period of five years from the commencement of production, according to the formula as under:

  Positive NFE= A-B >0

  A: FOB value of exports

  B: Sum total of CG imported+value of payments made in foreign exchange
  
  

• No other export obligation for units in EHTP.

• Supplies of ITA-I items having zero duty in the domestic market to be eligible for counting of export obligation.
